Here are some ideas for excursions if you do decide to explore outside the resort:
Nature lovers, outdoor enthusiasts and history buffs — find your paradise at Xcaret, an eco-archaeological park located along the Riviera Maya. View birds and butterflies, swim in a lagoon, hike through the jungle and visit archaeological sites. Explore an underground river and spot monkeys, macaws and deer.
2) Mayans' Explorers
Take a tour to the Myan Ruins or visit the sity of Tulum.
In our tours we offer a mix of culture, nature and adventure. We love archaeology, history, the jungle and it’s fauna, snorkeling, zip lines, canoeing and all sorts of outdoors activities.
Cenote (pronounced “Say-note-tay”) is a naturally formed pit or sinkhole made of limestone. The Yucatan Peninsula, including the Riviera Maya, has a vast river system that flows underground throughout the area.
Nowadays, local Maya and tourists come to dive, snorkel and swim in the crystal-clear waters of these natural pools. Small children and non-swimmers can explore these tropical sinkholes as well. The thick floating ropes tied across many of the “open” cenotes make it easy to stay afloat, enjoy the cool water and experience there sacred waters.
Please visit Tripadvisor.com to look into these and many more available exursions and things to do while in Playa del Carmen!
When making travel arrangements, book your flights into Cancun airport (CUN).
Also arrange for transportation to and from the airport when booking your travel.
You will need a passport to travel to Mexico.
Please visit the website above and follow these steps to obtain your passport.
1) Apply Early:
Apply for your passport several months before your trip. Also, know your expiration date. Many countries require passports to have at least 6 months validity at the time of entry.
2) Prepare your application:
The U.S. Department of State has detailed guidelines on preparing your passport application.
-Complete and print a passport application online.
-Get an application from a Post Office location that has passport acceptance services.
3) Find a Post Office:
Post Offices may have limited hours for passport services. To be certain of service, call ahead and make an appointment. Use the PO Locator to find the nearest Post Office that offers passport services.
We will be celebrating at the:
Paradisus Resorts in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico.
There are 2 resorts available to chose from:
Paradisus La Perla (adults only) &
Paradisus La Esmerelda
These are both beautiful resorts which are located next door to one another. Either resort you choose to stay, you aquire access to amenities at both resorts.
These are both all inclusive resorts which means your trip can be booked at one price including hotel/air fare/food/drinks.
I do not recommend booking through the hotel website, since it appears to be more costly.
Here are a few of many options for booking your trip and however you choose is completely up to you.
1. We are working directly with a travel agent:
Please let her know you are with Brian and Sarah's wedding!
***It is easiest to arrange your transportation to and from the airport at time of booking***
You can view pictures and a video of the resort to the left.
Everyone is welcome!!
Cocktail Party begins @ 6:00pm
Reception Dinner begins @ 7:00pm
Here is a glimpse of our wedding proposal in Sedona, AZ!
Brian took me on a beautiful morning hike to Devil's Bridge (yes...Devil's Bridge) and proposed while overlooking this gorgeous scenery! I'm such a lucky girl.....I couldn't have asked for more!
Hi everyone! I hope everyone is getting excited for the upcoming trip! I know Brian and I cannot wait to celebrate in paradise with all our favorites! Your formal wedding invitations will be sent out shortly asking you to RSVP. But I definitely recommend booking your trip sooner than later if you are planning on attending the wedding festivities. I know certain rooms are filling up quickly and I want to make sure you all can reserve the accommodations you desire. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any booking questions. I am more than happy to help!
I've added our welcome dinner to the events page.
Please continue to check the website for future updates!
I realize this is early notice, but Brian and I also know that we are asking a lot by requesting your presence at our destination wedding. We understand that attending an event such as this requires time away from work, money and lots of planning, so we wanted to give you as much time to prepare as possible.
Brian and I will be getting married at the beautiful resort of Paradisus in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico on Friday November 4th, 2016. We are traveling to Mexico the week leading up to the wedding and would love it if you could join us at any time during our celebration!
